Selling your Home-Segment 1

Thinking of selling your home in today's market? You will want to do your research as not all agents and companies are created equal. Find the agent and company that aligns with your needs. In the coming weeks I will give you tips that you will find helpful in interviewing the right team(agent and company).
Communication Ask about the method in which they will communicate: via phone, email, text and how often.
Experience and Expertise With the complexities of real estate transactions, you want someone who can deal with the potential challenges, ask how will they handle the issue? State a time when you had a challenge and how did they handle it?
Marketing Find out how they will get your home the maximum exposure to potential buyers? How will they track and connect with potential buyers in your neighborhood? Marketing in today's tech savvy market requires someone who is high tech or has the tools and resources to get your home exposure.
Pricing Ask how did you arrive at the suggested price? You want an agent who knows the market and can provide you with the stats which support the price. One such report is the CMA(comparable market analysis. Pricing right will make a huge difference in selling your home the first week or if it will set for 30+ days.
Staging Homes sell because of correct pricing and great presentation. An agent who takes the time to evaluate your home and make suggestions to help sell your home is a keeper. If an agent is afraid to be frank and tell you exactly what it will take may not be the right agent.
Satisfaction Your satisfaction is important and considering the pointers above and setting the expectations up front will make it a smooth sale. You do want an agent who will listen to your needs and guide you throughout.
Keep a lookout next week for the upcoming pointers-Selling your Home-Segment 2
